Position Summary

The Business Strategy Intern will be responsible for managing projects and analysis that are important for the company. The ideal candidate in this role must work effectively across functions, levels and business units toward achieving shared objectives rapidly while operating in a collaborative manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Strategy & Biz Ops to develop/prioritize key projects and areas of analysis
  • Craft clear work plans for all significant projects
  • Monitor and report on the progress to the VP, Strategy & Business Operations and other senior leaders, as appropriate
  • Drive preparation of agendas, presentation and initiatives for key meetings
  • Ensure that appropriate follow-up actions are taken
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with key decision makers associated with primary projects
  • Represent and be the voice of the assigned projects and analysis

Education, Experience, Certification Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an MBA program
  • Experience in reporting, analysis and strategy development
  • Experience in project management with strategic planning experience
  • Experience crafting executive communication as it relates to the preparation of materials to present to company executives
  • Must be well versed in financial modeling
  • Proven ability to effectively analyze and interpret large amounts of raw data to accurately convey business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues of a complex nature and effectively resolve
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required to effectively and concisely present key findings to senior management is a must
  • Strong working knowledge in presenting quantitative data via PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to adjust to fluctuating work load with the pressure of aggressive deadlines

  • Ability to research a diverse array of topics and present the key messages
  • Ability to understand and articulate the associated risks of recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience in driving change
  • Experience in presenting to challenging audiences
  • Extensive experience collecting and analyzing data required to make informed decisions
  • Proven ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter requiring minimum supervision
