Position Summary

The Sales Service Representative is responsible for servicing accounts as assigned.  The position reports to the Midwest Director Ad Sales and AE’s, and indirectly reports to the Manager, Pricing & Inventory. The SSR will input national advertiser schedules, make all changes required, track audience delivery, post plan performance and clear all discrepancies. He/she will support Director and AE’s with order letter and other business communications, account delivery updates, meeting logistics, mailings, and other requests.  The SSR will interface with agency contacts, both on the phone and in-person. He/she will assist with building sales proposals, and assist Sales team with negotiations. The SSR will work with the TWC Ad Sales team to achieve best network results, including Pricing and Planning, Traffic, Research, Marketing, Finance and Sales Management. The SSR is expected to travel occasionally for meetings.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in the television industry, preferably in a national cable sales organization or advertising agency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales Management and AE’s with National account implementation from order entry to post/billing clearance
  • Assist Planning and Sales with plan proposals and negotiations to secure best results for TWC
  • Build relationships and effectively communicate with agency peers, both on the phone and in-person
  • Interface with P&I and Traffic to develop and implement ad plans in compliance with TWC policies and processes
  • Track plan delivery and post results
  • Possess exceptional written and oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Create and customize PowerPoint presentations
  • Follow pricing policies to maximize revenue
  • Manage and develop solutions that optimize customer satisfaction
  • Work with Finance to clear discrepancies
  • Work with Traffic to insure accurate schedule execution

Education, Experience, Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of sales support experience with demonstrated progressive responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional written and oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly motivated with a strong business work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
