Position Summary

The Strategy & Business Development Intern will be responsible for managing projects and analysis that support the strategic direction of the company. The ideal candidate in this role must work effectively across functions, levels and business units toward achieving shared objectives rapidly while operating in a collaborative manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of Strategy & Business Development to explore, identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities with a focus on business / financial modeling and business case development of new opportunities
  • Evaluate economic and strategic cost-benefit of potential partnerships
  • Collaborate with internal business teams to implement strategic initiatives
  • Translate consumer, technology, and market trends into opportunities and implications
  • Develop best practices to foster, manage, and track growth opportunities
  • Synthesize data and analysis into actionable recommendations with measurable KPIs
  • Create and present recommendations via effective and persuasive presentations

 

Education, Experience, Certification Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an MBA program
  • Experience in project management with strategic planning experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required to effectively and concisely present key findings to senior management is a must
  • Strong working knowledge in presenting quantitative data via PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to adjust to fluctuating work load with the pressure of aggressive deadlines

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively interact at the most senior levels of the organization
  • Ability to understand and articulate the associated risks of recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience in driving change
  • Experience in presenting to challenging audiences
  • Self-starter requiring minimum supervision

Hours
